Tap Workshop – Learn the Original Tap Shim Sham

7th October 2018

SOLD OUT: Leonard Reed and Willie Bryant created the Shim Sham in 1927 with the Whitman Sisters, one of the longest running and highest paid acts on the black Vaudeville circuit. Come and learn tap dance’s national anthem. You may not perfect the Shim Sham in one session but don’t worry, the Shim Sham is a social dance, its essentially about having fun. It’s the kind of routine you pick up as you go. The more you do it, the more fun you have. Learn the routine so you can join in when we dance it at our Tap on Tap Christmas special on Thursday 6 December 2018.
